What Do You Say To Someone In An Elevator?
This book is about awkward moments in life. Does it matter what you say to someone in an elevator? Who cares? Can you say something in the few seconds you have in an elevator to touch another person in a meaningful way? Why are these seconds so awkward or uncomfortable for us? Are they as difficult for others as they are for us? Why should you care?
Help to find answers to these questions is now available. You will share many experiences others had in embarrassing or awkward situations. By hearing how others handled these occasions you may find something useful for yourself and take you need from them.
Words are terribly, terribly important and the book demonstrates the positive impact your words can have in the most difficult circumstances. The book is a challenge with a strong call to action rather than enduring these predicaments with embarrassment and awkwardness. This can be easily accomplished by simply thinking about what we might do or say before these occasions arise.
As a result of reading this book you will become more attuned to those clumsy, ungraceful times and learn not only to survive them but to actually look forward with anticipation and enjoy them. Your imagination will be challenged and you will be amazed at how innovative and creative you can be if you will just trust your intuition and go with the flow. Others have done it and you can to. You will be a better person as a result and will learn to touch other people in a warm sensitive way and we will all be the better because of you.

What we do
Our mission is to work with individuals, organizations, business, industry and community groups committed to building more effective, just and democratic institutions in their communities.
The KLOG Centre provides in-depth training through scheduled programs or events designed for a particular group or a specific purpose. Our programs provide individuals and groups with the opportunity to learn the necessary skills to assess their own situations and develop the capacity to act in order to change existing situations.
Our practice reflects a deeply held belief that people can and must decide for themselves what it is they want to change within their organizations, communities or within themselves. Consistent with our values and beliefs we employ a participatory, hands-on approach to learning and research. This is what separates us from our competition. We guarantee quality work because we believe that nobody is rich enough to afford poor quality results.
The KLOG Centre will custom design training for groups, organizations, business and communities. This involves working with people to determine what needs to be done and assisting them to carry out their plans. We will also provide on-the-job training or apprenticeship training in laboratory settings for staff who want to learn facilitating or group process skills.
